Objektiv Film Studio Ltd.
Is a limited liability company that deals with production and distribution of audiovisual works, mainly feature films and documentaries.

The Director is Mr. János Rózsa.

The company was founded in 1976, but contrary to other Hungarian film production companies, Objektiv Film Studio was not formed on the initiative of the state. It was founded by the mutual decision of the film directors of the Balázs Béla Studio - an independent workshop of young filmmakers - who grew out of the youth status.

From the beginning, the Artistic Council, through democratic decisions, defined the character of Objektiv Film Studio.

Objektiv Film Studio welcomes all talented filmmakers. Since its formation, over one hundred feature films have been produced by approximately forty film directors, with considerable domestic and foreign success.

Objektiv Film Studio's films have been and are still regularly shown at all the important film festivals around the world. Objektiv Film Studio has produced, amongst other movies, "Angi Vera" (directed by Pál Gábor), "Confidence", Mephisto", "Colonel Redl", "Hanussen", and "Sweet Emma, dear Böbe" (all directed by István Szabó). Four out of five of Mr. Szabó's films were nominated for an Academic Award, and "Mephisto" received the Oscar for Best Foreign Film. The American motion picture, "Meeting Venus", directed by István Szabó, was produced at Objektiv Film Studio as well. Since 1976 Objektiv Film Studio has produced the films of Ferenc Kósa, Sándor Sára, János Rózsa, Zsolt Kézdi-Kovács, Gyula Gazdag, Miklós Jancsó, Károly Makk, Pál Sándor, András Kovács, Béla Tarr, Lívia Gyarmathy, Géza Böszörményi, Géza Radványi, Péter Tímár, Gábor Tompa.
